Boston Parking Tip of the week Be a good neighbor. Park in front of your own house

Is it illegal to park in front of your neighbor’s house?  Actually, no.

Since Public Roadways are just that, “public,” no one has the right to reserve spaces in front of his or her house. However, while it is not illegal to park in front of

someone else’s house, it is certainly inconsiderate and rude.

If you have a spot in front of your own house, use it.  If you have to park in front of your neighbor’s house, remember- your neighbor will have to park somewhere else-maybe in front of your house. How inconsiderate!

Be a good neighbor.  Don’t park in front of your neighbor’s house when you can park in front of your own house. They have friends and guests too.
