Aim for the Green Monster – at John Hancock Fenway Fantasy Day, June 1

Annual day of baseball at Fenway Park benefits the Jimmy Fund

BOSTON – While the Boston Red Sox are on the road in New York, baseball fans will take the field at Fenway Park on Saturday, June 1 for John Hancock Fenway Fantasy Day to benefit the Jimmy Fund. This unique day gives fans of all ages the special experience of batting and fielding at Fenway while fundraising for the Jimmy Fund to support the lifesaving mission at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Participants can fundraise their way onto the field by asking family and friends to support them with donations.  Fundraising packages range from $750 to $2,500. Fans can also sponsor a Dana-Farber patient to participate and give them a truly memorable day.  In addition, the Executive Home Run Derby package of $5,000 gives company leaders a chance to compete against each other and to experience Fenway Park as a Red Sox player, all while helping in the fight against cancer. “This event gives fans a unique opportunity to be an all-star at Fenway – playing on the field at this legendary ballpark while raising important funds for the Jimmy Fund to support cancer care and research at Dana-Farber,” said Larry Lucchino, Chairman of the Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Trustee, and President/CEO Emeritus of the Red Sox. Since 1992, John Hancock Fenway Fantasy Day has raised more than $8.2 million for the Jimmy Fund, furthering Dana-Farber’s mission to conquer cancer. To learn how you can participate or support the event, visit jimmyfundfantasyday.orgAbout the Jimmy Fund
