1 Million Names Against Abortion: Tell the Supreme Court to stop the killing

We demand the Supreme Court act now to end abortion – abortion is unconstitutional.

WASHINGTON, D.C. July 31 — The Station of the Cross, The Men’s March, and LifeSiteNews have partnered to launch an effort seeking to put an end to abortion in America once and for all.

Holding the goal at a whopping 1 million signatures, the partnership has put forth a petition that has gathered nearly 10,000 signatures since its launch on July 27th, including the support of Bishop Joseph Strickland who tweeted his endorsement: “I encourage everyone who knows that life in the womb is sacred to sign this petition. Pray that rather than 1 million signatures, may this effort result in 10’s of Millions of signatures and proclaim with resounding clarity that life in the womb is sacred.”

The petition is directed to the U.S. Supreme Court and reads as follows:

The Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution reads, “No state shall…deprive any person of life…nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” Yet, we have an ongoing, daily mass murder of our little preborn brothers and sisters under the big lie of abortion.

It is your duty as members of the U.S. Supreme Court to end this constitutional crisis and explicitly affirm federal protection for our last excluded class – children in the womb.

The words “EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER THE LAW” are written above the main entrance to the Supreme Court Building and your own supremecourt.gov website states “as the final arbiter of the law, the Court is charged with ensuring the American people the promise of equal justice under law and, thereby, also functions as guardian and interpreter of the Constitution.”

WE THE PEOPLE demand that you DO YOUR JOB and answer the question: Are children in the womb persons with equal protection under the Fourteenth Amendment or not? This is not complicated – of course they are. What else would they be? It is a scientific fact that human life begins at fertilization and every human being is a human person.

WE THE PEOPLE demand that you end this constitutional crisis and explicitly affirm equal protection for every person, born and unborn, NOW.

Abortion is unconstitutional.
